Slieve Gullion forest park is located at the base of Slieve Gullion, a mountain which lies at the heart of the Ring of Gullion. The formation that forms the Ring of Gullion has been officially designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty. Formed from the remains of an eroded volcanic complex, Slieve Gullion is the highest point in county Armagh with an elevation of 573 meters.
Facilities
The forest park offers visitors modern and first class facilities including our amazing courtyard café and purpose built visitors centre. The car-park can cater for 120 car and 4 full-size coaches, it is important to note that the car park can fill up quite early and quickly and will be closed once it has reached its capacity. We would advised all visitors if possible to avail of public transport when journeying to the forest park.
